Pacha Collection
Inspired by Earth, Empowered by Tradition. The Pacha Collection takes its name from the Quechua word for "Earth," embodying the values of growth, creation, natural beauty, and nourishment. Each piece is a celebration of the deep connection with natural world—a reminder of our shared roots and the power within us to grow, create, and nurture.
Handcrafted by Indigenous women artisans from Ecuador, the collection features exquisite jewelry made from Tagua, also known as vegetable ivory. This sustainable material, sourced directly from nature, is transformed into elegant rings and pendants that carry the wisdom of ancestral traditions.

Raíces Collection
Our first collection represents the foundations of our philosophy which -like in every plant- is strengthened from the base; from what is inside, underneath everything else. By recognizing the importance of these foundations, we have decided to call it "Raíces", which in Spanish means Root.
Within each jewel of this collection, you will notice a predominant symbol: interconnection, the link between two elements that strengthen and complement each other. We invite you to be part of this magnificent interconnection within Raíces, letting yourself be carried away by the vibrant colors that recall the earth, the core, the origin.

About us
The word Ruru comes from Quechua language,
its meaning is: fruit, seed, root.
This project was born as this seed sown by three women with different visions that complement each other within a great dream:
to create a symbol of social and environmental empowerment through fantastic jewelry.
Our exclusive designs have as a star element: the Tagua seed, also known as vegetable ivory. Tagua is a wonderful fruit that blooms in Ecuador and becomes the magnificent accessory that we created for you. This seed has two fundamental characteristics and values: strength and versatility. These same values are shared by our artisans, designers and in turn the person who wears this jewel.
By choosing Ruru, you are supporting artisan women from Ecuador, and in turn, you are choosing a sustainable alternative for the environment.
Meet our team
Nelly Astudillo
I am from Esmeraldas, Ecuador.
I am the mother of Samira and Samantha. Together, we built this beautiful dream that we called Ruru, where I am the CEO and founder.
I am a determined woman, an artisan and designer for over 20 years.
I am passionate about art and the infinite inspiration behind the jewelry creation process.
Samira Yances
I am from Quito, Ecuador but my journey has led me to live in Milan, Italy since 2017.
I am a designer and co-founder of RURU.
I have always felt a deep-seated sense of social responsibility towards people and the planet, particularly those most in need. Our project is a testament to this ethos, aiming to promote Ecuadorian talent internationally, using eco-sustainable and versatile materials like Tagua. Moreover, Ruru creates a space to support the artisans of our country.
Within the team, I am in charge of the creativity, communication, social media, and part of the jewerly design process.
Samantha Yances
I am from Quito, Ecuador.
Since I was little, I loved seeing my parents work in artisan jewelry and craft their creations. That admiration accompanies me to this day; it fascinates me to join my mother to her jewelry workshops and to be able to create unique pieces with my own hands. Creativity and movement has always aroused my interest, I love creating, imagining, designing and finding little details that hide magic inside.
At Ruru I am a designer, co-founder and part of the team of artisans.
